For three weeks, participants explore topics such as microbial diversity, marine ecology, genomics, biogeochemical cycles, environmental microbiology, and bioinformatics analysis, working alongside an international team of specialists. The course culminates in the presentation of the results of the projects developed by the students themselves.

ECODIM has a long history of training advanced human capital. Since its inception, it has brought together students from various countries and a distinguished international faculty, establishing itself as one of the most renowned courses in marine microbiology in the region. This led to its being awarded the Innovation in Science Education Prize in 2015, granted by the Young Science Foundation and UNESCO.

The 2027 edition will begin with activities at the Concepción campus of the University of Concepción and will continue at the Huinay Scientific Station, a privileged environment for the study of marine ecosystems in Chilean Patagonia.

Applications will be open until August 30, 2026.

More information and application requirements: https://ecodim.udec.cl/

[69,67

post-2863","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-2026-noticias","category-noticias
["GET
